Some of my ideas: * rating instead of 'like it' * recommended blogs * draft - like gmail * blogger of the week Are you thinking of something like a 1-5 rating, and it takes the average of all the users who rated? 'Cuz like, if one person gave it a 5 rating, then it's average will be 5, and may be higher than a popular blog that got a couple of 4's. :O ya, I see your point.

There's two ways to solve that. First, you could use both "Liked It" and rating and allow the users to sort by whatever they like. Then there's bayesian estimate which pulls things toward the center if they have less ratings.

So...any progress with coding? I downloaded the PHP Engine and MySQL database. Lulz. I'm going to try to learn a bit more about PHP and MySQL. It looks complicated. D:
But then again, all programming languages are.

Normal? xD Eum, I made a few edits, but nothing really special. :\ Where's the database though? how does it know if you're a member or not? <?php
require_once("includes/conn.php"); $Username = strip_tags($_POST['User']); $Pass = crypt(md5($_POST['Pass']), md5($Username));
$sqlLogin = "SELECT id, name, type FROM Users "; $sqlLogin .= "WHERE name = '$Username'"; $sqlLogin .= "AND pass = '$Pass'"; $result = mysql_query($sqlLogin);
if(!mysql_num_rows($result)) { ?> <p>Wrong Name or pass</p> <?php } else { session_start(); session_regenerate_id(); ?> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <title></title> <meta name="generator" content="Bluefish 1.0.7"> </head> <?php $row = mysql_fetch_array($result); $_SESSION['username'] = $Username; $_SESSION['id'] = $row['id']; $_SESSION['type'] = $row['type']; echo "<a href=\"index.php\">Front page</a>"; } ?> </body>
</html>
Apache doesn't do js's. >=O So I'm like totally lost here. >_<
