But srsly. I told you so.
Captain Raczinsky is a f**king fascist. I've said it over and over again.
And here you go. FASCISM. He took away MMOTales; the site who's users I ardently protected with my meaningless rants.
But srsly. I told you so.

I would love to have kept the site going. But it was costing too much, there were too many trouble makers (taking up too much of my time) and simply not enough visitors. Can we call that one spammer a fascist? D: how i quote?!?!?!

I'm disappointed. You could have totally made this thread into an awesome Dark Knight reference.

Speaking of I told you so...
Then again, maybe the "relative lack of traffic" may have something to do with certain MMOTalers who were pretty brutally unwelcoming to newcomers, therefore the lack thereof. There's no explaination why people get told to leave just after they introduce themselves.
It was a drastic and unnecessary consequence; however, I don't think jumping on every new person that made any sort of mistake helped in the past, nor do I believe it will benefit us in the future.

It's not that we're really unwelcoming or anything . There just is well ... Certain unspoken rules to follow . So maybe some of us were harsh , but we usually tried to fix it up , no ?

People were only welcoming to people they already knew in Maple or people with perfect grammar (less than 50% of the gaming community and even then people found problems with them, too); however, senior members of the site got away with one sentence/illiterate/irrelevant posts. People would tell new members to read previous posts, but the one sentence posts were pretty bad examples.
It didn't reflect well on the community, but most people did try to be welcoming. The problem was that certain regulars to the site continued to be rude and seemed to enjoy it.
I think the people here deserve a chance to show that they can better themselve while making their own restrictions and rules. Hopefully, in a future site, we won't have this issue. We really can benefit from more people at this point.
