A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 1
The Two Were Meant To Kill Each Other.
One Was For Revenge...
The Other, Redemption.
But In This Destiny,
There Is Not Two, But Three.
The Last, Can Change It All....
~~~
I stalked in the shadows of the alleys of Kerning City, I looked around the corner...
He had yet to find me.
I flattened myself against the wall, staff in hand, holding my breath.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulder.
I shrieked.
"Hey, Rempn!", hollered a slim, brown-haired warrior.
Cursed, Davyn found me., I thought, very disappointed.
The Warrior swiftly pulled me onto the sidewalk, laughing.
"I need to ask another favor, Rempn"
"Lemme guess" I sighed.
"I need you to ba--"
"Baby-sit your little brother after school, Yea I know." I said, completing his sentence.
"Well, yea..." he stammered, "Because I have a v--"
"Very important errand to run, just like every week" I sighed, putting my black, straight hair into a bun.
I stomped my foot onto the ground like a child, "Why do I always have to pick him up?" I pouted,
"Because you don't have anything to do everyday!"
"Your just ASSUMING that! I may actually have important things to do!" I yelled, putting my hands on my hips.
"Yea?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at me, "Like what?"
I stood there silently.
"Exactly, see ya at school! ^.~" he laughed, waving as he pranced away.
I placed my Flame Golden Circlet on top of my head.
I checked my watch.
HOLY MUTHA--I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL!
I ran towards the Taxi.
I jumped in and yelled, "SLEEPYWOOD! HURRY! GO GO!"
"Aw, Shut up!" groaned the driver.
"GO OR I'LL JUST DRIVE MYSELF!"
"OKAY OKAY!" he yelled, and we drove off.
As we slowed down at Sleepywood, I gave him 100 meso.
"HEY! WHATS WITH THIS?" He yelled at me, showing me the small amount of meso I just gave him.
"LIVE WITH IT, YOU CRAPPY DRIVER!"
"You shouldn't talk to your elders like that!"
"...You said I SHOULDN'T! SHOULD NOT! As in I'm not supposed to! BUT TOO BAD! I CHOSE TO!"
The driver scowled.
I got out of the car, "And thank you!" I said sarcastically as I fixed my messy hair.
I grinned and walked in front of the car.
As i came to my first turn on the way to school, I heard an engine start up.
I whirled around to see the angry taxi driver driving right into my path.
"MUTHAFU-" I froze for a moment, once the Taxi was just a few inches from me I jumped out of the way.
I got out of the way...mostly.
I fell on my back in the grass, holding my ankle.
"BISH!" I yelled, squirming in pain.
The driver laughed as he looked at me and drove away.
Other maplers stared at me for a moment, and went back to what they were doing.
I cursed, slowly trying to stand up onto the good leg.
After about 5 minutes, I finally managed to stand.
I cursed again.
"Now How the heck am i supposed to get to school...IN THE ANT TUNNEL"
I was pissed OFF!
I felt a light tap on my shoulder.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" I yelled, slowly turning my head around, careful not to lose my balance.
A small archer child smiled up at me.
"I can help you!" He said happily.
"Uh.... Aren't you a little too young?" I asked, calming down.
"I never sad I would be the one to help you!" he said smiling.
"...Yes you did."
"Well, I meant...my brother can help you! He also goes to the school in the Ant Tunnel!"
"Really? And just who is this brother of yours?" I asked, hopefully bending down slowly to pat his head.
He grabbed my hand, "Come! I'll show you!"
"Uh...maybe I'll stay here...." I stammered, gesturing towards my hurt ankle.
"Oh, Okay^^" he said and skipped away, happily.
God, happy children are freaky.
Moments later, the child returned with a Rouge around my age.
His eyes blazed with fire, and his brown hair was slicked back slightly.
"Um, Hello?" I said, curiously wondering what type of person he was.
He ignored me, and began walking towards the Ant tunnel.
"HEY! YOU CAN'T IGNORE ME!" I yelled, hopping after him on one leg.
"I CAN'T WALK! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING IGNORING ME FOR?!"
He suddenly stopped at the entrance to the Ant Tunnel.
"Why don't you just teleport?" he said coldly, and irritated.
I was absolutely dumb-founded.
Why didn't I think Of That?
He disappeared into the Ant Tunnel, and I teleported behind him.
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 2
He disappeared into the Ant Tunnel, and I teleported behind him...
~~~
I hopped the last few feet,approaching the sanctuary, where many chattering maplers had already gathered.
The school is kinda old fashioned, but Its still okay...
As I walked closer to the extremely loud crowd, I noticed something was wrong...
Where were all the Rogue teachers and students?
I looked around, trying to find at least one THROWING STAR, Much less a Rogue!
"STUDENTS! CALM DOWN!" yelled Grendel, the basic magician teacher.
Not one student shut up.
I looked back at the boy that i had followed here.
He had disappeared.
Where could he have gone on to?
I scanned the area, looking for the Rouge, or any other Rouges.
None at all, just frantic Warriors,gaping Archers,and worried Magicians.
I stood there, silently thinking about what could've happened.
...They all ran away?Kidnapped?Went to kill some monsters?Late?EATING?, I thought, thinking of anything that could be possible, no matter how stupid it sounded.
But no matter what the reason, there was always another thought that just proved it wrong!
But the one that applied to every reason;It wouldn't happen to every single Rouge!
I hopped out of the Sanctuary.
Not a single Rouge.
I hopped back into the Sanctuary.
All that hopping tired me out and I collapsed on the floor.
"REMPN!" yelled Davyn.
I looked around the area, then i spotted Davyn running towards me,
"Davyn!I don't get it! Where are all the Rouges?" I asked frustrated.
"So THATS whats going on!" He said, surprised.
"Imbecile," I muttered.
Davyn looked at my foot, "What happened to your ankle?"
I quickly covered my ankle with the bottom of my pants.
"Sprained." I muttered softly, but loud enough for Davyn to hear.
"Sprained?It's SWOLLEN! Did you get into another fight?" he asked,anxiously.
"It's nothing, really! Just a small scene!" I said, looking into his worried blue eyes.
"Tell me what happened!" He said, crouching down to level his eyes with mine.
"...Taxi?" I squecked, as soft as possible.
"What?" He said.
"A Taxi..." I repeated so he could hear.
"What does a Taxi have to do with this?" He yelled, pointing at my ankle.
"...I got hit by a mad taxi driver?" I said in a suggesting sort of way.
"Mad as in Insane? Or Mad as in...." Davyn thought for a moment, then he opened his mouth to talk.
"He was angry,a'ight?" I sighed, putting my hand on his shoulder for support as I stood up.
Davyn's face turned red with anger as he stood up.
"I'm going to KILL that idiot! WHO WOULD RUNOVER AN INNOCENT GIRL LIKE YOU...."
He continued babbling on about how "Sweet and innocent I am, and how stupid the Taxi driver was," until finally a question popped in his head.
"How did you get here?" he asked, calming down, but still a little angry.
I wasn't even listening to him, I was wondering where all the Rouges were.
"REMPN!" He said, impatiently.
"Hm....?" I said, still miles away.
"How did you get here if you got your ankle run over?"
"Uh....." I said," Teleporting..."
"What about all the monsters? How did you get past them?"
"Some guy killed them for me."
Davyn was surprised,"Oh really? Who is this person? I'd like to meet them!"
"...He didn't tell me his name."
"Well, where is he?"
"He's..." Then i remembered that he disappeared, just like the other Rouges.
"...Gone."
"You lost him?"
"Er, sure."
"Rempn…" he said suspiciously.
"What?"
"Um, Never mind." He said, looking away.
"…O…Kay…" I said, as I left him to hop around the area again, looking for rouges.
"Perhaps... the balrog?" I whispered to myself.
I gulped and shook my head. "Heck no, I'm not going there!"
I have bad experiences with balrogs…
~Flashback~
I was stupid, and not even a Fire Poison wizard yet.
The Sanctuary wasn't occupied with the school back then.
It was occupied with the Balrog.
I jumped made it through all the Macis, barely even alive.
Blood covered my tattered clothes, and my heart pumped loudly, and fast.
Then, I heard a bellowing roar.
It echoed off the walls, each echo LOUDER then the last.
I covered my ears, squinting.
What was that noise? I thought.
I had no idea that the balrog even existed.
The floor shook under my feet, knocking me to the ground.
I trembled, looking for what had such a loud roar.
Then out from the cold darkness, came a horrifying creature.
It bared its sharp teeth, its cruel red eyes staring at me.
Drool came out of its mouth slowly.
I could tell it was hungry….FOR ME!
I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I scrambled onto my feet, ready to run for my life.
I jumped up onto the rope, desperately trying to climb.
But my body was sore from the macis.
"CLIMB!" I yelled to myself, looking back at the monster, which drew closer every second.
I began to climb slowly, using the last bits of my energy.
I could feel the hot breath on my feet, ready to swipe me off the rope, and devour me.
I squeaked, and continued climbing.
Its claws brushed the bottom of my shoes.
I squeaked again, forcing myself to climb faster.
I had finally reached the top.
I gasped for breath, hands on my knees.
"STUPID MONSTER! I'M GOING TO COME BACK, AND KILL YOU ONE DAY!"
It growled and swiped at the rock I was standing on.
And it swiped the end of it off.
I yelped and ran away.
~~~
I laughed a little, from the flashback, then I gulped.
Where did they ward the Balrog off to once they made this school anyways?
~~~
The balrog held its head high, sniffing the air.
He growled with satisfaction, the girl was here.
He had spent a long time regaining his strength after the 4 instructors had defeated him with spells and such, and caged him.
He had spent the last 5 years or so, waiting for her to come back…
The balrog puts its clawed hands on the cage bars, Then he cried in pain as a jolt shot through his arms.
He roared, using his nail attack on the bars.
To his surprise, it's blue color faded away, leaving a normal steel color.
He put his hands back on it.
No pain at all.
His lips curved into a evil grin…
And he busted out of his cage.
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 3
His lips curved into a evil grin…And he busted out of his cage.
~~~
I heard a roar through the wall.
"What was that?" I said to myself.
I hopped to the wall, pressing my ears against it.
There was an area beyond this wall...and someone--No, someTHING was tearing it apart.
I heard the roar again...
Now that it was a little clearer...My eyes widened.
"The Balrog..."
Now the wall shook. And my head was forced back.
I landed on my butt and I stared back at the wall.
There was a dent.
"Holy..."I whispered.
Then, I heard a roar again.
But it was much clearer.
That meant the balrog was trying to get through the wall.
I then realized all other students had gone into silence, staring at the same dented wall.
~Silence...~
I backed away from the wall a few feet.
Suddenly, the wall crashed through.
Every eyes that were once full of awe were replaced with terror as the gigantic Balrog towering right over me, came into the scene.
"REMPN! RUN!" Davyn screamed.
My feet were planted to the floor.
The balrog held its head high and roared.
It's eyes, even crueler then I remember, stared down at me. Angrily.
My face paled, and I heard the continuous cries of Davyn.
The balrog lowered his head, to meet with my head.
I held my breath
He sniffed me with a grunt.
He rose up again and backed away slowly.
I sighed a sigh of relief.
Then, the balrog held his hand high in the air, and brought it down, smashing the rock floor before my feet.
I screamed.
And so did all the other Maplers.
I could hear their screams as they retreated from the area, the loud noises covered Gredel's chants, and so he couldn't hear himself.
I heard the Macis roar far away, followed by more screams.
I began to run away, forgetting that my ankle was sprained.
"Crap!" I said as I fell face-first onto the floor after the first 5 steps.
I looked back and saw the Balrog raising its hand in the air again.
I looked at all the other Maplers trapped between the Macis and the Balrog.
I could sense the fear that filled the cold air.
I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to teleport.
Teleporting was actually really hard, but when I'm mad, I can teleport easier.
TELEPORT GOD DANGIT!
It was no use, I felt the ground crumble at my feet, making a giant never ending hole.
My feet tumbled in.
I squinted and used my hands to crawl away from the hole.
I slowly got up, but was knocked down immediately from its hand bashing into my side.
I was knocked against the wall.
I slowly slid down to the floor, slowly falling unconscious.
My head tilt to the side and my Circlet clattered to the floor, and my hair fell down.
I felt blood trickle from my head.
I reached up to touch it, but I was un-able to move at all.
I saw Davyn run towards me, screaming something, but I couldn't hear him...
Everything turned blurry, and I slipped into darkness....
~~~
I woke up, and saw the rouge that I had followed here's face.
He was looking ahead of himself, with annoyance knitted into his eyes.
What happened? I thought dizzily, as I slowly arose from his arms.
Then I heard the Balrog's roar.
I jumped a little, looking where the roar came from.
"REMPN!" Davyn yelled.
I turned my head back, "Huh.?…."
Davyn looked at the Rouge, "I'll take her"
He nodded, and after Davyn led me away, He ran after the balrog, throwing all his icies.
I watched in awe, with all the other maplers, as he attacked the balrog. Alone.
No one ever was brave enough to do that.
A few rouges assisted the boy after things went a little rough.
But still, He was the one doing most of the attacking.
From behind me I felt someone's glare upon me, and a shiver was sent up my spine.
I looked behind myself, but saw no one.
But…the rouges had returned.
Where did they all come from?!?
After several hours the balrog fell down with a scream of agony.
The floor shook many to the ground.
I held onto Davyn's shoulder to make sure I didn't fall.
I could see the smirk on the Rouge's face.
I couldn't help but grin for no reason at all.
Behind me, I could hear the 4 job instructors (The Dark Lord had come back too), saying "He will be revived, all students. OUT OF THE SANCTUARY!"
I raised an eyebrow as Davyn and I were pushed ahead by many amazed but scared students.
"How's your head?" Davyn asked.
I looked up to see him, "What?"
"Your head, it was bleeding."
"So that's where it came from" I muttered to myself.
"Um…" I saw the Brave rouge trying to get through the crowd, and headed towards me.
I gulped and replied "Good" but right after I said that, I got a slight headache.
I squinted, resisting the urge to raise my hand to my head.
"Hey,You." I could hear the rouge say behind me.
I turned around, stopping Davyn from walking.
"What?"
"What's your name?"
"Hmmm.…" I said, realizing that I was WALKING!
"Hey..Davyn…did some cleric heal my ankle?" I asked, ignoring the rouge.
"…No." He replied, also realizing my ankle was healed.
I was amazed, and bent down to feel my ankle.
It didn't hurt at all.
"What the…" I whispered softly, and rose back up.
"What's your name?" the rouge repeated, more coldly then the last time.
"Rempn, what's to you?"
The rouge showed a quick sign in his eyes of shock and…FEAR?
"Nothing," He replied, "I'm Aven"
My skull felt like it was being cracked open, the word "Aven" echoed in my mind, booming.
I held both my hands to my head.
"Rempn, what's wrong?" Davyn asked, concerned.
I felt like a hammer had just been brought down into my head.
"AUGH" I yelled in pain.
"Rempn?REMPN!" Davyn yelled, as my eyes rolled back and I slid down to the ground unconscious.

A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 4
"Rempn?REMPN!" Davyn yelled, as my eyes rolled back and I slid down to the ground unconscious...
~~~
I watched as Rempn fell down.
Everything went past in slow motion...
"REMPN?" Davyn yelled, grabbing her arm to pull her back up as she fell.
Awake, She seemed Bold and Brave.
But Asleep, She looked like the Fragile Angel, A--
"Hey, You! Help me carry her!" the boy, Davyn, said to me.
I looked from Rempn to Davyn.
"Where to?" I asked.
"Um, Well, I live in Kerning cit--"
"I live even closer." I interrupted.
"Then help me carry her!" Davyn said, as if I should of known to do that from the very beginning of all this.
Davyn held her out, and I held her in my arms.
She's as light as a feather...
"Follow me" I whispered to Davyn, and gracefully and swiftly ran through the crowd.
~~~
My eyes fluttered open,"...huh?" I said, still dazed.
"REMPN, THANK GOD!" I heard Davyn say.
"...What.... happened?" I asked, looking around the unknown room I lay in.
"You've been sleeping for THREE DAYS! You were muttering really weird things while you slept."
I looked over at him.
He had been worrying about me, a lot.
His eyes seemed tired, dark circles appeared under is eyes.
I sat up, staring at the window.
It was morning, "Where am i?" I asked.
"Um, Aven's house."
A picture of Aven flashed in my mind quickly.
"Oh...Then....Where is he?" I asked.
Davyn looked a little tense for a little while and then answered "He's...Um, I don't know.... He left."
I stood up, and went towards the window.
I sighed and put my hands on the glass.
Vengeance Is The Demon, Redemption Is The Angel. The two can create a chaotic war, Or They can create an everlasting love....
"What'd you say, Davyn?" I asked, after hearing such a weird thing from him.
"...What?" He asked, looking at me like i was crazy.
".... You said something." I said, and added quietly "I think...."
Maybe I'm just hearing voices...that's probably it...
I told myself that so I wouldn't panic, either way, hearing voices isn't good.
"So…how're you feeling?" Davyn asked, trying to start a conversation.
"Good, I only had a headache to start with." I said, reassuring him nothing was wrong.
One that hurt like hell…
I stared up at the sky.
"The balrog...what happened to it?"
"I truthfully don't know…"
I heard a door creak open.
"Your awake!" said a familiar voice.
I turned to face the child that had introduced me to Aven.
I smiled sweetly, "Hello."
The boy walked up to me, "I'm Raavi"
"Raavi, do you know where you brother went?" I asked
"Aven goes out of the house a lot." He shrugged.
"Really?" I said, curiously, "And you stay here a alone?"
"Yea…" He sighed, and walked out of the room.
Davyn stared at door in which Raavi left through, "Who's he?"
I grinned, turning to Davyn, "Aven's little brother!"
Davyn nodded, showing that he understood, and then his eyes widened.
"OH NO! I FORGOT ABOUT MY LITTLE BROTHER!!!"
I frowned, "Sorry"
Davyn shook his head, "No, no It's not your fault! After all, you're the one who passed out!"
"Sounds a little like you accused me" I muttered.
"Um…." Davyn stammered, "M-maybe it'd be okay if I left you here…."
I sighed, "You do know, I only passed out. I didn't get attacked by an assassin!"
Davyn relaxed, and he walked up to me, "I know, but…I care for you…a lot."
I reached to put a hand on Davyn's shoulder, but before I got halfway, Davyn put his arms around me.
Surprise shot through me, and I tensed as tried to get words out of my mouth, but all I managed was "Uh…"
Davyn didn't let go.
Uh…
I relaxed a bit, and pat his back.
"Rempn, you---" Davyn started.
"Davyn, It's okay. I'll be fine. Don't worry about me!" I groaned
Davyn pulled away, sadness on his face.
Okay….So I obviously said the wrong thing…
Davyn grinned, "Okay! OFF TO GET MY LITTLE BROTHER!"
"Um, Bye?"
Davyn smiled at me, and through the door he went.
I saw the door to my left open.
"What was that all about?" Raavi asked, walking next to me and staring at the door.
"I...have NO idea..." I replied.
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 5
Before Davyn Had comeback, I quickly fell asleep...
~~~
I shot upward, covered in sweat.
My eyes adjusted to the bright light shining through the windows.
"O..kay...Strange..dream..." I said to myself, under my heaving breath.
I stared down at my blanket.
Has Davyn, STILL not come back?
I looked around the room.
Where did Raavi go? , I asked myself once I realized, my voice was the only thing I heard.
I slowly got to my feet.
A cold shock went up my spine.
I whipped my head around, I felt like I was being watched.
But there was no one…just me.
I looked at a dark corner suspiciously.
Why would it be dark there…its so bright outside…
I stared at the corner for a few moments.
But eventually decided Nothing was there.
Well Your Wrong…
~~~
She sat upward as fast as Her eyes shot open.
I stared at her back, leaning in the dark corner.
Her wispy black hair was a mess, and I could tell by how she just sat there, that she was pondering about something.
She muttered something, then stared down at the floor.
Her head shot back up, and she scanned the room.
She stood up, very slowly, as if she was trying to time something perfectly.
I stared at her with steady eyes.
Her hair slashed through the air, creating a whipping noise as she looked at me.
If any other human were to find himself or herself in this situation, would have turned nervous and would be caught by her glare.
But not me.
She can't see me...
Although she knows I am there.
She can not see me.
Not yet.
He can't either.
Not until It starts.
Not until It ends.
She stared in the corner, which I resided, like she knew I was right there.
Truthfully,I was really there.
But at the same time, I didn't even exist.
She looked away, probably guessing there was nothing.
But there is.
I continued staring at her back, grinning
~~~
Davyn hurried along, to his brother's school in Henesys.
WHO COULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO HUG HER!??! I scowled at myself.
Only you would be. , replied a voice in my head.
Stupid Conscience.
I could see the Dark green trees turn into a lighter color as I neared Henesys.
I sped up.
A small building appeared in the distance, I could see a sign next to it.
"Maple Intermediate" I whispered.
In the next few seconds It took for me to reach the building, I knew something was wrong.
I smelled tension and blood in the air.
Ambulances were parked right in front of the school doors, with cleric's teleporting students in and out of the school.
The door's seemed to be locked, and a red liquid seemed to drip down it.
I held my breath. Blood…
I gasped, as I ran to a cleric, supporting 4 children.
"What happened?!!?" I asked, worried.
The Cleric was too busy with mending wounds.
I gave up on looking for answers, when I saw my brother, teleported out of the school, along with 5 other kids.
Most of the kids had cuts.
But some…weren't quite as fortunate.
And My brother was one of them.
"Noru!" I screamed.
His rough brown hair framed his pale face.
His eyes stared at me.
But I knew they only stared right through me.
His glossy eyes had blood tainted in them, as if the events he had just seen were etched into his eyes.
The cleric supporting Noru gently put him on the floor beneath him.
"I'm sorry…" he whispered as he teleported back in.
I dropped to my knees, shaking.
Noru's face was frozen in a screaming state.
Noru died as he screamed.
And never would Noru Scream again....
Never...
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 6
Rempn sat on the ground, waiting for Raavi,Aven, and Davyn to return.
What if something happened to them?!?!
Every once and a while, Rempn's gaze drifted away from the door to the dark corner.
"I swear....there has to be something with that corner!" muttered Rempn, irritated.
Rempn stared at the corner again,she began seeing a faint outline of a person.
Rempn squinted, and the outline faded.
Darn it
~~~
I stared at Noru's dead body.
Noru was the only family i had.
Now he's dead.
"What am I supposed to do without a brother?" Davyn asked the dead corpse that lay on the ground in front of him, even though he knew no reply would come.
Davyn could feel his brother's spirit with him.
That only made Davyn's longing grow.
~~~
Luzicer, can you sense Dael's presence? Aven thought.
Partially. Yes, I can. , Replied a voice.
Must we inform the others?
No! Dael is not even fully reborn yet!"
Aven sat in the tall tree behind his house.
I see... Aven replied.
He hid under the shade of the tree, talking to Lucifer.
When does it commence?
After you find The Wheel., replied Luzicer.
The Wheel...Eh?
Luzicer began reciting,
"But In This Destiny,
There Is Not Two, But Three.
The Last, Can Change It All....
The Last begins the war.
Then the Angel&Demon takes the rest...
But The Wheel must be sacrificed to begin.
The Wheel...does not appear until the beginning of ends./i]
But Luzicur, I don't even know when the beginning of ends IS!
FOOL! Only a FOOL would not know! Luzicur said angrily.
Aven dared not reply.
When Luzicur was angry, He would treat Aven tormently.
To Luzicur, Aven was his vessel, and his servent.
And its the same for Rempn..., Aven thought to himself hoping that Luzicur hadn't heard him.
~~~
Inside Maple Intermediate, a Young Assassin hid in a corner, watching clerics running about the building.
"Mr.Vuipes, We're having a few difficulties..." he whispered into an earpiece.
"WHAT difficulites?" boomed the voice in his ear loudly.
"Well...It appears that these people are of 11 to 14 years of age."
The Assassin swore he could hear Mr.Vuipes vein popping out of his forehead.
"YOU TWIT! YOU GOT THE WRONG PLACE!!?!??!"
He sighed,"Well, It appears so..."
"It appears so, It appears so!" he replied mockingly, "OF COURSE IT APPEARS SO!"
The Assassin rolled his eyes,"The targets aren't at school...we'll have to wait another day."
Mr.Vuipes laughed,"Actually, No we dont!"
The Assassin was surprised,"Oh Really? What news do you have in store for me?"
"I heard there was a balrog attack...aiming for her."
"Oh...Really?" he asked curiously.
"Oh quite really,then he took her to his house to help her rest."
He grinned,"So...I go to his house...and..."
"Yes. and you know the rest, bring them here, I have a surprise for them."
~~~
"Yes. and you know the rest, bring them here, I have a surprise for them."
A 14 year old magician happened to hear all of it.
The young magician happened to be late for school when the massacre had happened, and thankfully,he had once again, for the 6th time in a row, forgotten his staff in the restrooms.
As he was coming out he overheard someone saying
"Mr.Vuipes, We're having a few difficulties..."
He had flattened himself against the wall, just now realizing the blood that stained the floors.
This person had killed his school...
And he was planning on killing another person.
The magician felt it was his job to warn him.
He teleported away from the Assassin, choosing the places where the Assassin would not see him.
A balrog attack, eh? That ought to be over at least one newspaper
He teleported outside,feeling drained and weak.
Newpapers...
He looked around desperately.
"Hey kid! What're you doing?" he heard someone say to him.
Shoot...someone spotted me...
He turned to the voice, holding his breath, surprised to see an warrior with a corpse of a boy.
"Uh...I go to school here?" he replied, staring at the dead boy in the warrior's arms.
"I heard everyone died." He said dryly.
"Well,I'm lucky then."
The warrior looked down at the boy in his arms.
He mumbled something.
"What was that?" I asked him.
He looked at me,"What? OH! No, it's nothing."
~~~
Rempn sighed as the time passed by.
She leaned on the wall, tapping her foot impatiently.
"Ugh...What's taking them so LONG?"
Rempn was growing extremely impatient.
She looked at the clock resting on Aven's fireplace.
"10 minutes, and I'm looking for them."
"Unfortunately,10 minutes is too long" said a voice, miles away.
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 7
A Bandit was rushing through the deep forest of Sleepywood.
His brain rung loudly in his ears, and he could still hear Rempn.
We have 10 minutes to initiate the plan. he spoke in his mind.
He ran so swiftly, everything was a complete blur to him.
Dre,Where to now? he spoke.
"Take a left turn in 4.72 seconds." replied the voice.
The Bandit nodded, and turned at the exact time.
Dre, Where are you?
"0.67 kilometers ahead of you."
The bandit continued forward, Tell me the full set of directions.
"Continue foward for 11.51 seconds, then take a right turn. Continue on for 15.79 seconds, turn right again. 6.47 seconds ahead, and your there."
He followed the given directions and arrived at a small house.
...Didn't you just send me into a circle?
"Yea, I did, but you would've encountered some unpleasant company. Hurry, before they get there."
The bandit continued on to the door, putting his hand on the knob
He took a deep breath and turned the knob and pushed the door open.
He expected to see only one figure.
But instead he saw two.
"Dre!" He said relieved.
Dre nodded, putting her silvery hair behind her ears.
"Who the heck are you people?!?!" The girl asked as Dre put her hands onto her shoulders to push her down to her knees.
"Just...some recruiters." Dre replied.
The blonde girl stared at the bandit, "Why have you come? To kidnap me?"
Dre laughed winking at me, "Hey JT! Have we come to kidnap her?"
JT glared at Dre,"No,we're asking you to join us."
"Why?", she asked staring at Dre and JT with her crystal blue eyes.
I bent down in front of her, "We're from the R; T"
The girl's eyes bulged,"The WHAT?"
"R: T. Reincarnations: Thief."
"Re...incarnations?" The girl asked.
JT nodded, then realized something.
Their target was described as a girl...with BLACK hair.
JT gasped,"Dre..."
Dre stared up at him,"What?"
"DRE! WE GOT THE FREAKING WRONG GIRL!" JT yelled, furiously.
Dre's eyes widened, and the blonde girl stared at them confused.
"IMPOSSIBLE!No one could forge my senses!"
"Well obviously, someone DID!" JT yelled at her,
Dre was bewildered,"Only a skilled person could do this!"
JT's eyes turned to slits, and grabbed Dre's arm, dragging her out of the house, slamming the door behind them.
"...Who?!...." JT yelled.
"I DON'T KNOW!" she screamed.
"DRE! YOU ALWAYS KNOW!" JT screamed, holding his wagner up.
"I-i-I DON'T KNOW THIS TIME!" she stammered, frightened.
JT calmed down when he saw her fear.
He took a deep breath, lowering his dagger.
"Well, It's already too late." he sighed.
"What?"
"The target. She was supposed to leave about 3 minutes ago."
Dre frowned for a few seconds, then she brightened, "3 minutes, you say? I could find her...If my senses aren't forged again."
JT grinned, "I love your sense of directions."
"I do too" Dre replied stalking into the forest, JT following after her.
~~~
Rempn stared at the clock.
"Okay...I'll wait another 5 minutes..." I sighed.
Lying onto the floor.
I closed her my, sighing.
How long have they been gone?
My train of thoughts were interrupted by the door suddenly opening.
I opened her eyes from shock, shooting upwards onto her feet and gasping from the sight of the assassin in front of me.
"Who are you?" I asked, eyes turning to thin slits.
The assassin held a Kunai in his left hand, and wiped the sweat off his forehead with the other.
I grabbed my staff on the floor, pointing it at the sin.
"Don't come any closer!" I said in a husky voice.
The assassin's eyes were red like blood and they made me feel as if he had already thrown his Kunai at me.
"I am following orders, and orders are to be followed" He said, throwing his kunai at me.
I yelped, thrusting myself to the floor.
The kunai landed on the floor, just as two more were thrown at me.
I panicked as my mind numbed, enabling me to think straight.
I held my staff in front of me to stop the two kunai and dashed into another room.
What's happening?
A kunai came from the room I was just in, a foot in front of me.
I held my breath.
Another kunai came, as I pushed myself against the cold wall.
It landed an inch to the left of my arm.
I let out a small breath and ran behind a chair just as another kunai was thrown at me.
Another kunai went past my left cheek, leaving a fresh cut.
I covered the cut with my right hand, cowering behind the chair.
During my time of fear, I realized that he wasn't even in the room as he threw the kunai
If he could hit me this accurately without seeing me...
I saw a blur race across the room and he suddenly appeared in front of the chair.
How accurate is his aim if he CAN see me."
He threw the chair aside and it landed with a loud crash.
I winced at the sound, staring up at him with 3 kunai out.
Where are Aven and Davyn when you need them!!?!?
~~~
I stared at her as she stared at me in fear.
"WAIT!" said a voice in my ear, "don't kill her! Bring her to me."
I looked at my kunai.
"Today is your lucky day." I whispered.
She stared at me, confused.
I grinned and punched her in the head, knocking her out.

Chapter 8
The magician sighed.
"Do you happen to know about the balrog attack at Maple High?" he asked.
The warrior's eyes widened.
I take that as a Yes...
"Y-yes...I-i was there..." he said, nervously.
Hope bloomed in the magician.
"I heard there was a balrog attack...aiming for her."
The magician remembered what the assassin had said.
"Do you know where the girl that was attacked is?" he asked.
"Why do you want to know?" the warrior grunted, irritated.
The magician took a step back.
"I..." he tried to think of something to say, "I need to tell her something..."
The warrior stared at me, "What?"
"Something, a family crisis."
"Really? What kind?"
"Uh...Our...grandfather died?"
" 'Our'? You mean your related?" he asked with surprise.
"Uh...Cousins..." the magician lied.
"I never knew she had a cousin..."
"Well she does.Now,where is she?"
"Sleepywood." he sighed.
"Can you take me there?"
"Maybe...I have to ask a certain someone..."
The magician sighed.
It's hopeless
~~~
Aven jumped off the tree he sat on from a sudden chill.
Luzicur...What was that?
Luzicur did not reply.
"Eh? Sleeping?" Aven guessed.
He shrugged and faltered towards his house.
~~~
Rempn woke up very tranquil-like.
"Where am I?" She asked herself, her eyes adjusting to the darkness of the room in which she reside.
She began to stand up and fell back down from chains wrapped tightly around her ankles and wrists.
Her mind began to flood with the memories of the man who came to Aven's house and trashed it completely trying to kill her.
"That stupid Sin!" she said gritting her teeth.
Rempn tugged at the chains angrily and at the same time nervously.
Where are Davyn and Aven? What does the Sin plan to do with me?
Rempn thought the whole thing was galling.
...And how the hell do I get out?
She stopped pulling her chains and a bit of light shined into the room.
Rempn covered her eyes.
"WHO ARE YOU?" She asked.
The light grew more and she then realized that an old obese man stood in front of a door.
Rempn almost began to laugh once she saw him.
(A/N: Not meaning to offend anybody By The Way)
He quickly walked up to Rempn and pulled her off the ground by her hair.
Rempn stifled her screams.
"You know, your staying here. Your friends aren't going to save you. They are all better off without you." he said in a husky voice.
"Like you knew." Rempn muttered, spitting in his face.
The man's melancholy creased face soon turned angry and forbidding.
Rempn flinched and gulped.
Note to Self: Know How Powerful the Enemy is before you Spit in Their Face.
The man pulled out a kantana and held it to Rempn's throat.
"Another silly mistake of yours...." he whispered in her ear.
He pressed it into her throat lightly and a drop of blood came out.
"..and my hand might just...slip."
Rempn squeezed her eyes shut whimpering slightly.
"Kelly, take care of her," he said and dropped Rempn.
Kelly? A girl. Might be easy to get out then.
The man walked out the door and a new man came in.
A warrior.
"Kelly, you have fun with her." Rempn heard the man say.
...This...is Kelly? Rempn thought as the door creaked close leaving Rempn and her killer alone.
Oh my Gosh, someone save me from this person...
~~~
Aven grimaced at his ruined house.
"Screw....them...all...." he said angrily.
"Aven! Be calm! They've taken the girl.
Aven winced, Rempn? Where?
"Wait, the boy and a magician are on their way over here"
"Davyn...? And who?"
Aven sat down and stared at a piece of wood covered with blood.
He saw something glint under it.
Aven went over and picked up a kunai.
The handle was emerald green and was tightly wrapped.
Aven brushed it with his hands and turned it over.
"What happened here?"
Aven jumped and turned around, "DAVYN!"
Davyn stood at the front door and gaped at the ruins.
"Where Rempn?" he asked, a young magician behind him.
"Who's he?" Aven asked curiously.
"Supposedly Rempn's cousin." Davyn replied
"The boy lies! That girl has no cousin", Luzicur said angrily.
"He Lied, Rempn doesn't have any cousins." Aven repeated.
Davyn blinked, "Thats what I thought, but apparently..."
The young magician stopped Davyn and said "I lied."
Davyn's eyes widened, "What?"
"I lied. I'm not her cousin. I heard the assassin talking and he said he was going to kill another person. I wanted to warn that person...apparently its too late."
"You could have just TOLD me!" Davyn said angrily.
The boy winced, "I'm Sor-"
"Now it's too late thanks to you!" Davyn yelled.
The magician whimpered softly.
"DAVYN! SHUT UP! YOUR SCARING HIM!" Aven screamed.
Davyn's anger veered away.
"Sorry," he muttered and turned to Aven, "How do we find her? We don't even know who took her."
Aven looked up from the kunai and said, "Yes we do."
Davyn and the magician raised an eyebrow.
Aven held up the kunai to show the handle.
"D.R.A: Destruction of Reincarnation Army."
"I don't get it!" Davyn said, "Why would they be after Rempn? She's normal!"
"No she isn't, she's actually crazy..." Aven muttered then spoke up and said, "No...she is a reincarnation. She's part of something huge. Really. Huge."
It took a while for Davyn and the magician to understand.
"It's a lie! How do you know this?" Davyn said.
"I'm telling the truth. I, myself am a reincarnation!"
Davyn's eyes widened.
"And so are the two people behind me. You can come out now."
"I see our stealth skills still aren't as superior as yours."
A bandit and a sin came out of the dark shadows.
"I'm JT" said the bandit, "I'm Dre" said the sin.
"And we're part of the R;T. Nice to meet you."
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 8
Davyn pulled the magician boy back, "AN ASSASSIN!" he gasped.
Dre frowned, "JT..." she whined.
"Hmm...OH! Yea, Dre is harmless...Just a woman who looks like a fish."
Dre picked up a random piece of wood and threw it at JT.
It was true though, Dre sometimes did look like a fish when she widened her eyes.
JT stopped it in mid-air with his hand and threw it on the ground.
"We aren't here to perform antics, Dre." JT said irritated.
Dre nodded and her face turned serious.
They both looked back at three confused faces.
Davyn looked like he was going to faint.
"Anyways..." JT said, "Rempn,Aven,Dre, and I are all reincarnations."
Dre continued, "And we are here to help you stop the event that is coming."
Davyn wobbled to the ground along with the magician.
"Yes, well you have to find the girl first, or the worst will happen."
Aven went into his kitchen and came back with a large dusty old worn-out book.
"Only 3 copies of this book remain on our world." Aven said, clearing a place to set the book down.
"One is with us." JT said.
"One is with me." Aven said, opening the book.
"And One is with Rempn's kidnappers, though they don't know it." Dre finished.
"If Rempn were to find this, it may stop the war." JT said.
Davyn's eyes bulged, "Wait. War? What war?"
Aven sighed and opened the book.
Every page he turned seemed to crinkle between his fingers.
Aven took a deep breath and read aloud,
"The Two Were Meant To Kill Each Other.
One Was For Revenge...
The Other, Redemption.
But In This Destiny,
There Is Not Two, But Three.
The Last, Can Change It All...."
He flipped serveral pages and began to read,
" 'Vengeance Is The Demon
Redemption Is The Angel
The two can create a chaotic war
Or They can create an everlasting love....
If the war comes, then the world will plunge into darkness.
All hope shall be at stake, and all loved ones will be turned against one another.
All the world shall know will be hate,war, and greed.
But if it is love, the world shall be at peace.
No one person will steal from one another.
No one person will hate on another.
This love may not kill all evil, but it kills the roots of it.
And eventually, the evil won't be able to maintain and withers.' "
Aven turned the book a couple of pages and continued on,
" ' The road will began forked.
They will have one leader.
That leader must choose the destiny for the world.
One side will lead to peace.
The other, to hell.
But with a mind too young to tell the differences
How will the journey turn out? ' "
~~~
Rempn breathed hard on the cold wall.
Her whole body was covered with bleeding cuts and bruises.
"That...wasn't too bad..." she muttered, trying to relieve the pain, "C'mon...You've experienced worse..."
She tried recalling a memory more painful then what she just felt.
"Uh...Like....the time you...." she said to herself.
"Ugh, the time...you....were run over by that Taxi driv--" Rempn jsut noticed she was talking to herself and realized she sounded like a fool, "Oh just shut up and stop talking to yourself Rempn, nothing was more painful then that."
She caressed her cuts softly, squinting all the while.
"What kind of parent would call a titanic-sized boy 'KELLY'!??!!?"
Rempn put her hands on the floor and felt blood drip down her limbs and onto the floor, staining the floor around her.
She moved her hands next to her feet and felt a wet puddle.
Alarmed, she pulled her hand out of the thick liquid and tried to see what it was.
"Its..." she moved closer to the puddle, "...blood."
Rempn felt a drop fall on her head and looked up.
What she saw amazed her tremendously. The blood was dripping from the ceiling.
She looked over at the place she was sitting earlier, the blood was gone.
An idea appeared in her mind, "Maybe...I should test it."
She squeezed her cuts harder, letting the blood drip onto the floor.
Rempn stared at the blood for a long time, and she did not once blink.
The blood started to disappear and she heard a drop fall into the puddle next to her.
Her eyes widened.
"It disappears into the floor...and comes out the ceiling.", she muttered to herself, trying to work it out in her head.
So that means...this area was built for no escape. Whatsoever. What sinks into the ground, comes out of the ceiling...back into the ground...and so forth.
"Could this help me escape?"
The blood of puddle had already reformed again as she sat against the wall to ponder on her new discovery.
It always comes from that one area in the ceiling...
Rempn spent what seemed like decades trying to create an escape.
Her eyelids grew heavy, How long have I been here?
Rempn's thoughts veered away from her plan to escape and to her companions.
Davyn...When he was about to go to find Noru...why did he hug me? I mean...that way...
She let that vanish into the depths of her mind for a while.
Rempn sighed and closed her eyes, trying to rest her blatant thoughts.
After a while she nodded off into a deep sleep.
~~~
I sighed, sitting down in the cruel cold darkness.
My home. After the death of my parents, I lived with a classmate of mine...How is she doing? Does she wonder where I am? No one knows I live with her..So how would she know what happened to me?
~~~
Aven closed the book and looked up at JT and Dre.
"Do you understand now?" JT asked Davyn and the magician.
Davyn seemed so woozy and the magician sighed, "This...leader...How do we find the person?"
Dre blinked slowly and replied, "It'll be hard. Jt and I think that since the leader is so strong, who knows who it could be! He might be so strong, we can't even sense him!"
"That's a problem." Davyn mumbled to himself.
~~~
The fragile looking girl sat on her bed, staring out the window, shaded away from the light.
"Where are you?" she whispered softly, holding a drawing in her hands.
The girl decided to add to her drawing of a single rose, the blissful rose that sat in front of her window.
She stared at the things surrounding the rose.
She stared at her drawing.
She had everything in the picture, but it felt like she had nothing.
She stopped focusing on the rose and looked out the window again.
"Just sunlight,trees, and nature." she sighed.
The girl dropped her drawing and paper onto the floor and lay her head on her pillow.
She reached under her pillow and pulled out a book.
She rolled onto her stomach and opened the book, taking out a torn cloth and setting it aside as she began to continue reading her book.
After a while when she came to the last page, and began to read it out loud.
"A group of friends whom always stayed together one day never spoke again to one another. 'What happened?' People would ask, and they would always reply, 'I guess...we just weren't destined to stay like magic'. "
The girl closed the book, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding and said, "What a crappy story."
¤ A Touch Of Destiny ¤
Chapter 10
The girl slid the book under her bed and stared resumed to staring out the window.
Where are you?
~~~
Rempn woke up with a start when she heard the dungeon door open.
"Who's there?" She shouted woozily.
The sudden change of light blinded her for a while, but she could still tell a figure stood at the entrance.
"Just wait...Young one." boomed a voice.
Rempn tried to get her eyes to adjust to the light so she could determine who it was, but her eyes still stared at a blur.
"Who are you?" she said.
"I am who I am, and you are Redemption."
"What? You mean Rempn?"
"Redemption." the voice repeated.
Rempn couldn't tell whether the person was a male or a female, it seemed as if it had no voice...but yet, it rang so loudly in her ears.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"Just you, your patience, and your time."
Rempn closed her eyes and said, "I'm listening."
"You truly are worthy of your soul, now listen up..."
Rempn seemed to wince when the voice had said "worthy of your soul." She wondered what she meant, but decided that she should just listen to the voice.
"I know you have just discovered the strange magic of this room, and have been trying to find an escape."
Rempn nodded, wondering how this person knew.
"Do not try it. At least, not yet."
"Why?" she asked, shocked.
"Not until it all begins, not until the last leaf falls and the first creature sleeps."
"...What? How would I know when the last leaf falls?"
"Eventually, you will be able to come out of this dungeon, but only to a separate area. However, this particular area gives you a look of the Great Source, if you wait, you will watch as the Great Source falls and rises once again over and over every day."
The great source?
"That way, you will know."
Rempn was still greatly confused, especially since everything was still a bright blur to her.
"After that happens, you may try the magic of this room. But one cannot do it alone. You are just a single Ice mage. You need one more person, someone who is just like you but is completely different."
Still confused...
"It may take up to 2 years to find this person if you are foolish, but if not, and you work the magic of this room, then you may proceed to another area. And that area shows the midst of everything.
Can this person speak any more clearer?
The voice paused for a moment and then said, "Your dear friends have just been told a excerpt of what I will tell you--"
Suddenly a loud stomping was heard.
"Dear child!" the voice said hurriedly, "This may be the last time we meet! When your able, find the room of wisdom and there will be something waiting for you, It will reveal it all!"
Then...the light began to fade away.
Rempn stared down at her hands, realizing that it was no her eyes that didn't allow her to see the figure, It was the light that surrounded it.
"W-wait! I don't understand anything!" Rempn cried, but the light had completely faded away.
Rempn felt goosebumps appear on her skin when a new figure had appeared at the door.
In a loud voice the same old man she had met earlier yelled, "WHO OPENED THIS DOOR?!"
Rempn stared in hate and silence.
"Who was just speaking to you?" he asked, staring at Rempn in anger.
Again, Rempn gave him no reply.
The man angrily stormed away, slamming the door.
You could hear him yelling angrily, and suddenly yelping, followed by a loud crash.
Rempn chuckled, "That was interesting."
~~~
Aven stared in silence as Davyn and the magician were trying to comprehend everything.
"Aven! Aven!", he heard Luzicur call in an angry manner.
What do you want? Aven asked, in a tone that was as if he was swatting away pesky flies.
"It's has come."
Truly? Do you know where?
"No...They seem to be very good at staying hidden."
Aven cursed himself and glanced at Jt and Dre.
What about...them? he asked Luzicur.
"They should know too."
"Jt, Dre, come!" Aven said.
Davyn raised an eyebrow as the two did as Aven said without a word.
Aven led them to a pummeled kitchen and said, "Have you been told of...it?"
"I believe if we are thinking of the same 'it', then it would be a Yes." Jt replied, Dre nodded agreeingly.
"Should we wait till Davyn and the boy understand, or should we proceed immediately?" Dre asked.
"We'll decide tomorrow." Aven replied.
Jt and Dre nodded, and the three walked back into the previous room.
"What are we doing?" the magician asked, noticing the strange looks in the three's eyes.
"We're waiting." they replied.
~~~
I continued staring at the rose.
What was the rose a symbol of? Love? ,she wondered.
She lifted the rose out of its vase and twirled it in her fingers.
"I haven't used my magic for a while..."
She balanced the rose on one finger and focused her magic into that single finger.
She closed her eyes, feeling herself warm up. But nothing happened.
She sighed, placing the rose back in its vase.
~~~
The sad boy still sat in the cold darkness, he stared at his finger. Scorched from the blazing flames that burned his home. He was a rebel from Ossyria, he was a stealer for half of his life.
Now, he thought staring at the liquid on the floor, I want to be a giver.
He bent down and dipped a finger into the mystery substance. It was thick and crimson red, like a blood rose.
He tasted it, and could tell it was blood, from the ivory taste in his mouth.
He wiped his fingers on his robe, staring at the never ending flow of the blood from the floor to the ceiling back to the floor and so forth...
A Touch Of Destiny
Chapter 11
9 Months Later…
Rempn woke up but, didn't open her eyes.
The Great Source? It rises and falls daily…
Rempn kept her eyes shut.
A person like me, but totally different?
The dungeon turned into a sort of home to Rempn eventually; after all, she had stayed there for months, maybe even years. It had been months since the "angel" had visited her. Rempn couldn't tell time since her dungeon had no windows. It was darkness every hour. Except for when the man visited her, this was when the dungeon actually seemed like a dungeon.
A loud creaking noise filled the room and Rempn heard a man talking, but it wasn't THE man.
"Psst…Hey." She heard the man say quietly.
Without opening her eyes she said, "Are you here to hurt me?"
"No, I shouldn't even be here. Please, open your eyes." replied the voice softly.
Rempn heisitated, but she opened her eyes nonetheless. After adjusting to the bit of light, Rempn realized the man she thought she heard was actually a boy, just around her age. His hair was ratty but shiny, his body was covered with scars, and each scar seemed fresh and bleeding. He bit his bottom lip, hoping that he could convince Rempn to listen to him.
"Who are you?" Rempn demanded, trying to show she was strong, but her conscience wouldn't allow it.
"I'm just who I am, may I ask of your name?"
"R-re-"
Rempn hesitated to say her name. She was still deciding whether or not to trust this boy. His eyes were firm and confident, which did not help Rempn choose at all.
"I am who I am." She said.
The boy chuckled, "I'm very sorry to intrude, but please, come with me."
Rempn looked away from the boy and stared at her chains.
"They should have taken those off…" the boy muttered and grasped hold of her chains.
Rempn watched as the chains melted into a hot liquid next to her, she veered away from the liquid metal once there were no chains.
"C'mon, follow me." He whispered, slipping out the door.
"W-wait!" Rempn yelped, scurrying after him. Her legs felt so numb to her.
She stumbled after the boy, whom was waiting for her at the end of a hallway.
Rempn just realized she had never seen the outside rooms before. Everything was so bright for her eyes.
"Ow…My eyes, they hurt." Rempn whispered.
"Here," the boy said, holding a pair of tinted sunglasses out to her, "Wear these, they should help."
Rempn put them on and closed her eyes, "Thank you."
"Now come, they man usually schedules his visits around evening, we have to hurry!" the boy said, grabbing hold of Rempn's arm. She heisitated to walk, "Where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere out of the dungeon, is that good enough for you?" he replied, letting go of her arm and running off.
Rempn sighed, and ran after him.
~~~
Aven swiftly threw his icies at a nearby theif . He dodged all the kunais directed towards him. He grabbed hold of a tree branch and flipped off the tree, landing out of the group of people surrounding him. He brushed some dirt of of him and ran out of the forest.
Jt, It's an ambush. Do NOT come. Tell everyone not to follow, stay at base and rest.
"You alright?"
I have a few scratches, but nothing serious.
Aven began to shut off his communication with Jt.
"That's good but the thing is…Davyn went outside." Jt began...
...But Aven did not hear.
Aven ran faster, hearing the dry grass crunch beneath him.
Luzicur, did you not tell me that it was going to begin? Why has it not?
" Patience. Patience is needed right now. I may have been wrong, there's something wrong in the prophecied."
Aven halted, tripping over his own toes. He got out of the wet grass and stared down.
What has happened?
"The wheel…It's different."
How is it different, we don't know who the wheel is!
"The wheel's energy…I can sense it weakly."
How is that different?
"It's coming from different directions
Wait! Wha—
"One seems to be particuly stronger than the others."
"Then that means…," Aven though aloud.
His eyes widened, "I need to inform the others!"
He ran again realizing he was close to base. The grass was dewy.
Which was lucky for him, because a fire was racing behind him.
~~~
Davyn coughed in smoke. It engulfed him. He tried to run away from it, but he couldn't get the proper oxygen, and his muscles weakened greatly, causing him to trip.
"Cough cough Why did I go Cough here?" he asked himself.
The fire spread greatly, forming a circle around him.
Davyn coughed, standing up.
He stared at the fire encircling him, scorching his skin. He could see a shadow, and it was coming towards him.
Davyn tried to call to the person, but his throat was filled with ash, and he was unable to speak. The shadow slowly disappeared. Davyn fell to his knees, growing weaker. He grabbed a handful of grass and formed the warrior's sign.
And when the time comes for my departion of this world…
Davyn struggled to stay awake, he had to finish reciting the warrior pledge.
…I will die a soldier's death. Knowing I had done my best…
He tried to remember the last words. He thought hard then remembered it.
I will not die in vain. I will not leave anyone behind. And...
"I will not leave things unfinished."
Davyn realized those were the correct words, but he wasn't the one who said it.
Davyn almost finished the pledge, "I will not leave things un..."
Ash blew across his face before he fell into a deep slumber.
One that could last till the end.
To Be Continued...
