I decided to post a rant about it here. Too.

ZOMG JDIUALJDLAKJH First General MS thread! K:SKAKD:JD:AKJ!
Anyway, on to the opinion sharing/rant/long thing.
So after about 3 months of...playing another game, I finally go back to MapleStory. My goal was to finally achieve level 16. (Let's just say I'm not the fastest leveler.) Now, I'm an explorer, I go to other places, where most of the time I shouldn't be, and share to everyone my experiences and blah, blah. Anyway I still had to explore Crimson Wood Keep. So that was my goal for the day. But first! I still had to level up. Which wasn't that hard, as long as no one came by Pig Beach. I would have no one to talk too!
About 2 minutes later, I leveled up (I was already at 98%.) And I headed to Kerning City to take the subway to New Leaf City~! While waiting on the train I decided to do my stats. And what I saw was horrendous. For some unexplained reason There was these two button saying "Auto Assign 1" and "Auto Assign 2." I scratched my head. What the hell does this mean? I tried clicking the first one. Then, a blue box appeared displaying how I should place my stats. Now I was confused, why was the game telling me how to distribute my stats? And why was my INT and LUK greyed out? Not that I would be using them, but still. Weirded out, I closed my stats. And opened my skills. But what's this? What is this thumbs up sign beside Somersault Kick? Was the game recommending what skill I should put up? Well, I do have to max that anyway so I added my 3 points to it.
"So what's the big deal?"
Well, I'm just mad that they changed the stat distribution so it's soo easy! Back in the day, stat distribution separated the boys from the men! (No sexist remark intended!) But now, Maplestory is easy enough for me 7-year old brother to play, not that I would let him play, but you get the idea. It kills the vibe! I was playing this childish looking-yet-mature-depending-on-where-you-look game, but now I'm playing this childish-looking-yet-mature-depending-on-where-you-look-easy-playing-breezy game!
Anyway, that concludes my thread starter.
Let's just say I'm not content.
