This thread is to read what happened to the deceased characters.
16 Year Old You
"Hey kid, you don't look so good." A man was helping you up.
"Uh, I don't feel so great either," you replied.
"What were you doing on the ground anyways?" he asked.
"I-" You closed your eyes tightly and tried to think. "I don't remember."
"Well do you know your name atleast?"
"No... I think I got a case of ammnesia... And deja vu."
"Weird." The man grunted. "Well you took a nap at the wrong time. Few hours ago, we were attacked."
"Really?" You looked around and saw some cars with the doors opened, wind shields cracked, and even overturned littered all over the road. "I wonder how long I was out."
You both hear a cry.
"Crap," the man said. He pulled out a pistol and prepped it. "They're coming. Better get out of here kid."
You just woke up and a zombie attack happened. To hell with that. You turned the key, switched the car to reverse, and stepped on the gas.
"Hey wait a minute... I think I'm 16..." Joy riding. Oh well, who'll care? The car shot backwards and crashed into another car. You put the car into drive and drove off the road and into a park. The car runs over small trees and plants but that didn't matter. You looked behind you to see if any zombies were tailing you. You turn your head to the front of the car and-
The car crashed into a fountain and you were sent flying out of the windshield. You landed in the water with a shard of glass in your arm.
"Damn!" You pull the piece of glass out of your arm and grasp it firmly. You pull your hand from the wound- but no blood came out. The cut was slowly healing. "What the hell...?" You noticed a tree started to fall over and it smashed the car. The alarm went off. You hear a cry.
Crap.
You pull yourself to your feet and jump out of the fountain. You rrun down a road and find yourself in another part of town. You look at the sky for the first time. It's covered with red clouds, making the enviorment have a near red glow. You notice a gun store across the street. You need weapons, best find a pistol. Or a shotgun. But you notice a helicoptor flying overhead with a searchlight, you might be able to get it's attention.
You tried opening the front entrance to the shop but it's blocked. You lift your leg and kicked the door open. The shop's guns were scattered all over the floor and lay unorganized. You searched for working guns and find an assault rifle, a handgun, and a shotgun. You can't find a bag to carry the guns, so you can only carry a handgun and either the shotgun or assault rifle.
You picked up the shotgun and find 38 buckshot shells. You load six into the gun and slammed the butt against a door that head out back. You shouldered the shotgun and moved down the alley. As you turned a corner you see three zombies moving to your location. For something undead, they moved fast. You aimed and loaded a zombie full of buckshot. You pumped another shell and fired into another zombie. You hear something coming from the back and turned. The zombie from behind you was too far for your shotgun to do damage. And a zombie in front of you is close enough to have a limb torn off from your shotgun.
You use your left hand to pull the handgun out of your belt and fired a bullet between the farthest zombie's eyes. But the closet zombie knocked the shotgun out of your hands and it slid into a manhole. You use your handgun to finish off the zombie in front of you. You reloaded your pistol and looked into the sewers. It smelled and reeked of decay.
Even though you don't want to, you need to. You jump into the sewers and dipped your hands into the grim. You feel something solid and pull out your shotgun. You tested it to see if it works, but the grim clogged the gun's barrel. You prepare to go back up when the opening closed up.
You feel your way through the dark sewers, kicking into things occasionally. After walking endlessly, you spot a red emergency light. There's a steel door next to it. You walk up to the door and pound your fist against it. You asked whoever is in there to let you in.
"Who's out there? Are you a zombie?"
You sarcasticlly say yes. That you hunger for their flesh and all that good stuff. The next thing you know everything went black.
---
You wake up slowly and find yourself bound to a chair. There were three other people in this small room. Two of them had shotguns in their hands. You ask where you were. They say that they are testing your blood for any type of signature of infection. But odd enough, your blood is white, not red. They still want answers though. They ask who you are and where you came from.
You decide to lie. You tell them your 'name' and that you came from New York. They talk to each other for awhile and turned back to you. They're still doubtful. They ask why you were in Chicago.
You decide to lie some more. You tell them you were taking the bus to Chicago when the invasion happened and got knocked out. A person pulls out a sheet of paper.
"You were strapped to a lie detector. We'll know if you lied or not." They read the charts and suprisingly, you WERE telling the truth. They removed your straps and you were free to move.
"Sorry kid but we couldn't take any chances. Anyways we gotta get going. Take this handgun and let's go. We'll climb up that ladder to get topside."
You climb upwards until you find an opening. You aim your handgun outwards and slowly crawl out, searching for any targets.
"Is everything OK up there?" one member of the small group asked. You say it was all clear. You climb out and kept aiming your pistol, not knowing what might jump out. When everyone climbed out they hand you a duffel bag.
"Several of our guns are in there. Take your pick and let's get going. We can go down the road or hop that fence and go into the outskirts of town. I expect that if we go down the road we'll face more zombies but might find more survivors. And maybe more supplies. If we leave town, we'll find less zombies and possibly a lower chance for supplies."
You search for any assault rifles and end up taking a M16 as the bag had several of those. You hand the bag back to one of the members and began climbing the fence. Once over the fence you prepped the M16 for any type of enemy advancement. Once everyone was over you started walking out of the city.
A few miles out of the city the three other members decided to tell you their names. Zack a man who was in his mid 30s, was a bartender in the city. He always had a Remington 870 stashed away just incase something happened to the bar. Apparently he didn't know that the shotgun would be used to fight back zombies.
Drake, a man who was in his early 20s, was just a drifter. He just so happened to be drinking an ice, cold refreshing glass of beer at Zack's bar when the infection happened. He had a Smith & Wesson Model 686 revolver strapped in his coat when the invasion happened.
Grace happened to be Zack's 16 year old daughter who was in school, taking a test, when the infection started. She ran out of the classroom when a zombie destroyed one of the classroom walls. She made it to the gym, where she grabbed a baseball bat and beat the persuing zombie's head in.
They were about to ask what happened to you when you spot a horde of zombies running towards the group.
You tell the other three to open fire. The horde incoming fell easily with the combined shooting of your group.
"I wonder where they were coming from." Zack looked in the direction where more bodies laid. You notice some type of structure up ahead, but that's where most of the dead bodies came from. On the other hand, you notice some red smoke rising into the sky to the east.
Something just happened in the structure. Better not approach it, and head to the smoke. The others agree.
After walking for several miles you find a road and several cars crashed, turned over, and some are even flaming. The red smoke came from a tanker fire. You notice one good car in the road, but you also notice hundreds upon hundreds of zombies.
"Crap," Zack said. "We better keep moving. I don't think we have enough ammo for that big of a horde."
"But we might need that car," Drake said. "We don't know how far we have to go until we find some survivors."
Grace pulled your sleeve. "What do you think we should do?"
Not wanting to risk the lost of ammunition and lives, you decide to tell the group to go back to the structure. Drake groaned but cooperated. Zack nodded in agreement and Grace whispered a thanks.
You went back to the structure and of course you find some bodies. You readied your M16 as you stepped inside the small building. Grace followed and gasped at the sight. Bodies of the dead, mainly not infected bodies. Zack stepped in next.
"Drake, guard outside," Zack said. Drake nodded. He loaded some rounds into his revolver and readied for anything. Zack checked the bodies. "This building was raided, not too long ago. We should check for any supplies."
You and Grace agreed and began searching. At the end of the search you find some first aid kits, canned food, some water, and four flashlights. "These are some special flashlights. They have a solar battery, which means they can be charged using the sunlight." You take one and slid it into a loop of your belt. You hear gunshots from outside. Drake runs in, sweating.
"We better get going. Zombies are invading the place."
"I saw a trap door," Grace said. "When I went in I found a tunnel."
You ask Grace to take the group to the tunnel. You enter a room piled with crates and see a trapdoor. You climb down and spot a tunnel. At the end you hear rushing water. Grace climbed down next and then Drake. Zack fired some buckshot into some zombies and he jumped down, closing the trapdoor behind him. You hear banging on the steel door.
"There must be some type of stream up ahead," Drake said. He loaded some rounds into his revolver and aimed, ready for a fight. You lift your M16 and proceed forward cautiously. After a few minutes of walking you find a door. You opened the door and find yourself in a sewage pipe.
"Ugh, I had ENOUGH of these sewers!" Grace shouted. The sound bounced off the walls and echoed deeper into the sewers. You hear something move in the water and grim but then it was silent. You walked down the tunnel and find that there was some pipes blocking the path forward. But under the water and grim you see an opening. Grace spot a ladder heading topside.
"We should climb up there, I can't stand it in these sewers." Grace proceeded to the ladder.
"But there might be some zombies up there," Drake pointed out. "We should continue forward."
"We don't know what other creatures may have been infected by the disease," Zack said. "We might get killed if something were to lurk the waters."
Drake asks for your opinion.
You address that you would dive under the water and go behind the blocked passage. Grace groaned and says that you or Drake should dive first. You decide to go. You dive into the water and grim, and start swimming through the small opening. You feel something bumped into you under the water and you quickly resurfaced on the other side. You reach for your M16- But it wasn't there.
The others came up after you and they were soaking wet. Grace squeezed the water out of her hair and asked where your assault rifle was. You say something took it under the water.
"Well we have plenty of rifle," Zack said and he tossed you a duffel bag.
You take a new M16, this one with a flashlight modded onto it. Light flickered on from the rifle and you spot a darker tunnel up ahead.
"Hell, look at that darkness," Drake said. Zack handed a two-way radio to you.
"We might need to split into groups further ahead, you and Drake. Me and Grace."
You accept the radio and stashed it in your pocket. You begin walking down the tunnel. Moments after you head down the tunnel you come to a pit where the water was being dumped in. There's a passage to your left. You notice some zombies down in the pit, as well as a ladder going down. Luckily your M16 is also modded with a scope.
You set the rifle for single shots and you use the scope to zoom inwards. It's not very far but you have a good range at shooting the zombies. You aim for a zombies head and shot one round. It dropped dead. You smile and aimed for another zombie. It goes down, you fire several shots into a zombie's chest and it died. After awhile the zombies at the pit were wiped out.
"Nice sniping you did there," Drake said.
"We should go down there," Zack explained, "If we didn't want to go down there, there was no point in killing those zombies and we could've taken the passageway.
"Sounds good to me," Grace said. "Who's first?"
Zack volunteered. Grace would go next with you following. Drake goes down last.
Zack made it to the bottom without any complications, followed by Grace. You were halfway down when you hear gunshots from above.
"Crap!" Drake shouted. You see his revolver fall right past you. You look up to see Drake fighting back a strange looking zombie. Drake was dangerously close of falling off the edge.
You know you might not make it but he's still your friend. You climb back up just in time to kick the zombie and catch Drake from falling over. You load the zombie with a clip of pistol rounds before it stops moving.
"Thanks but you didn't need to do that," Drake said. You tell him to go down first. Afterwards you make it down too. Drake picked up what was left of his revolvers. "The hammer is jammed. I can't shoot with this." He takes out the remaining bullets before he stashes the gun into the gun bag. He takes out the AK-47.
"So where to next?" Zack asked.
You decide to take the right tunnel. There was a watery trailer but the red emergency lights made the liquid hard to identify. You flash your light onto the trail. It was blood. You swallowed but you had no choice. You and the gang head down the tunnel until you spot some dead bodies of the military and some other civilians. You find some ammo for the M16 and AK-47 as well as some extra rifles and some auto-shotguns. You stash your findings into a duffel bag. You continue forward and find a ladder. You climb up and find yourself in town. Grace comes up and her mouth drops.
"I can't believe we're back here!" she said. Zack and Drake climb up afterwards.
"Hey, do you hear that?" Zack asks. You listen carefully.
"Is anyone still alive here?" If you are, head towards the town center. We will try to save any survivors."
Sounds like the military is rounding anyone still alive up.
You knew that you need to survive, espically in this time of crisis. You decide to head to the center of town. On the journey you fought off zombies would might've been attracted to the scent of living blood. By the time you make it to the center of town, it was near evening. You see beams of light pointing to the sky and knew that you were close. You spot several helicoptors, some already taking off.
"You four, hurry here!" a soldier shouted.
"Come on, let's go!" Zack said. Drake climbed into the last chopper, followed by Zack, and then you.
"Help!" You spun around and saw that Grace got pinned down. You start to leave when a soldier stopped you by grabbing your shoulder.
"Leave her, she's done for!" Zack tried to leave but other survivors grabbed him, telling him to be smart.
You tell Zack that you're sorry. You take your pistol and shoot Grace in her head. Zack stops struggling and falls to his knees. The helicoptor door closes and you fly off.
---
You were taken to a military base. The soldiers took all your weapons and ammo, but let you keep your first aid kits and flashlights. You were ordered to go to the bunkers and rest. You fell like you need to talk to Zack.
You decide to talk to Zack. You wander the base until you find him, in a shipment area. Zack notices you.
"Oh, it's you," he said. You ask him if he feels alright. He chuckles. "I feel like crap. The world's gone to hell, my wife's been dead a long time, and Grace was killed recently..." He looks at you. "...By you. But I can't kill anyone. I can only..." He lifts up a pistol. "...Kill myself." Zack lifts the pistol to his head.
You try to talk Zack out of killing himself. He just chuckles.
"I got nothing else in this world. What's the point?"
You tell him to think about Grace and his wife. What would they think if you do himself in?
"Nothing. They're dead, remember?" Zack got up and walked over to you. "Thanks for the effort... Here." Zack hands you the pistol. "...We might not see each other for awhile. I need time to think..."
Zack walks away. You switched on the pistol's safety and decide to sleep.
---
"Since we're short on hands here, we'll need help from everyone to keep this base working. Before your first meal, everyone must report to the Medical Wing to get examined. If you do not show up on our database, then we will have to shoot you, no questions asked."
The General running the base makes his leave and you can see that everyone is lining up for their exam.
You try to think up a spot to hide the pistol. You search and in the end you decide to hide the pistol in some old supply crates. You know it's not the best place, but you're hungry and you need to get your examination. You go back to the line, which has shortened, and after awhile it was your turn. In the room a man ,that seemed like in his mid-fourties, greeted you.
"Now what's your name?" he asked. You tell him your false name. He does the usual examination on you. "Alright I'll just need a blood sample from you." You say it's fine. He injects the needle through your skin and slowly draw blood out of your arm. His eyes widen as he sees the white blood enter the syringe. "Intresting..." The doctor heads to a computer and tests the blood.
"Odd, you're neither living-" The guards in the room start to lift their guns. The doctor raises his arm to tell them to lower their weapons. "-Nor dead. You're like a zombie but with a beating heart. Well we need to run some more tests on your blood, but we need you to stay locked up for awhile. We'll give you a light meal though."
You agree to be locked up. You are led to a cell and eat a light meal while you're in the cell. You didn't get enough sleep last night, you kept having weird dreams of you wandering among the zombies but they weren't attacking, nor were they showing any signs of wanting to attack you. In fact, they followed you. When the zombies weren't around you, you would find a town and then inject a weird vial of white blood into someone. You decide you'd catch up to your sleep now.
---
"Hey, what are you doing with that thing?" a familiar face asked. You tell him that everything is going to be fine. You grab his arm and inject the white blood into him. He starts to shake and scream. You sigh. You're out of the white blood and knew that you would have to keep spreading the virus. You reach into your pocket and extract a vial of clear liquid.
---
You wake up with a guard shaking your shoulder.
"Hey, the doc says you're free to go," the soldier says. "Since you're fine and dandy, it's time for you to help out around here." The guard extracts a piece of paper and read down the list of what positions are available.
You decide to work as an engineer. The guard leads you around camp and you notice a pile of burnt bodies in a corner of camp as well as a big fire going on. You ask the guard about that.
"Oh, that's to burn the bodies of zombies. They reek if you let them stay out rotting." You ask what they did with the bodies. "Some testing. To see how the virus spread." You decide not to tell him about your dreams.
You are led to a work station and you find some other engineers at work. "This kid is yours now." One of the engineers nod. The guard leaves and the engineer leads you to a work station.
"Got any experiance with creating and fixing things kid?" the engineer asks. You say no. "Hm... Well for now, we'll need you to assist the others in repairs."
A few hours later you grow tired of working but it puts food into your gut. You see a soldier run to the workshop.
"What goes on?" an engineer asked.
"The group on the supply run were ambushed. We're going to go find survivors. Anyone want to come?"
You say that you want to join the search party. The soldier nods. You are led to a some trucks. A soldier hands you a pistol and tells you to get into a truck. You climb into one and you look at the others inside.
"Hey kid, what's up?" someone asks you. You turn and see a man climbing in. You introduce yourself and ask for his name. "Name's Josh. Nice to meet you." The truck starts moving and you settle into your seat.
The truck came to a halt a few feet away from the entrance of the town.
"This is where we lost contact with the group on the supply run," a soldier says. Everyone climbs out of the truck and cautiously aim their guns. "If you see someone that's still alive, ask if they were bitten. The virus can be transferred via bites. Zombies have grown fangs that inject a weird white blood into your system."
Everyone nods and starts to pair up. You see that Josh isn't in a pair yet.
You walk up to Josh and ask if he wants to pair up. He agrees. A few minutes later the two of you were sent to search the woods. You and Josh travel the woods until you find a cabin. You see a man limping over to you.
"Help... Me..." the man says. You start to walk to the man when Josh grabs your arm.
"There are bite marks on his neck," Josh tells you.
You pull your pistol out of your belt and aimed for the man's head. You pulled the trigger and the man drops dead, blood dripping out of his head. You look up and see two figures exiting the cabin. They drop onto the front porch and start shaking.
"Dude... What the hell?" Josh whispers. The two figures stop shaking and start to stand up. The two men start runnign up to you. You see that they have fangs and claws.
You crouch on one knee and shot one of the zombies. To your surprise they were very agile, as it dodged three out of four shots. Josh aided you after he managed to kill the second zombie and in a matter of seconds both of the zombies were dead. You ask Josh how they were so fast.
"Maybe because they still have some living blood and tissue still operating," Josh replies. "Let's go to that cabin. Something is rather suspicious in there."
You and Josh walked cautiously to the cabin. You hear weird scraping noises on the inside.
Being cautious, you decide it's best to look through a window. You locate a window that it pretty close and peek through. You spot two humans scratching on the wooden floor, one holding his arm and the other holding her ankle. You ask Josh if he thinks they're infected.
"It's possible," he whispers. "They must have been recently attacked." His eyes widen. "Which means there's still a zombie somewhere around here..."
You tell Josh to run. Both of you turn and start running towards the opposite direction. You didn't know how far you ran but you find yourself an entrance to town.
"Dang," Josh says, "we shouldn't be here. Zombies are probobly all around here."
You were about to say something when you hear gunfire.
You wonder what the commotion was and decided to go to the noise. Josh disagrees but reluctingly follows. You shot down zombies that were in your way when you see three survivors in the back of an opened van. They spot you and shout, "Hey! Over here!" You run over to them and find that they were part of the supply run squad.
"What happened?" Josh asked them, fighting off some zombies that were running towards the van.
"Well we were searching town when zombies ran to us," one of them said. "We were able to take care of the small fries but suddenly something stronger came. We found this van and made a getaway. Sadly it's out of gas now so we're out of luck."
You ask what this stronger thing was. Suddenly the see a piece of concrete pound into a building nearby. You turn to see where the concrete came from and saw a gigantic zombie.
"The virus must have mutated it!" Josh shouted. "Thos muscles aren't natural!"
You tell the group to run. They agree and you run down the street. You shoot at the beast with the others, hoping it would die. Unfortunatly, the bullets seem to make it much more angrier. You notice some military trucks up ahead. Unfortunatly, it seems like they're all dead. Undead actually. But you spot something that might take this monster down.
A rocket launcher.
You tell the group that you see a rocket launcher up ahead. They knew what you were thinking and kept following you.
"You guys get the rocket launcher, we'll hold this thing off!" two of the survivors started to fire at the beast. With what was left of your ammo, you killed the remaining zombies in the area. You grab the rocket launcher and turn to the beast. Unfortunatly, it took down the two surviviors. You load a rocket into the launcher and took careful aiming. It started to charge to you. You fired the rocket at the monster and it made contact.
"Bull's eye!" Josh shouted. You were glad- but the smoke cleared and the beast continued to make it's way to you.
There was no room to escape. You got punched in the gut and sent flying into a building. You were bleeding bad and tried to get up. But the monster ran over to you and started to pummel you into the ground.
Everything started to blur and then everything went black.
You are dead
