LOLOL I CHANGED THE GAME AGAIN! READ THE NEW RULES BELOW!
Well, I saw this on other website and I changed it up a bit so with could pleh 2! This game will either be a success or epically fail.
It's simple really, the game starts off with this,
"Dear Captain," Every poster MUST post a short letter/opinion on how they feel towards Captain it will all be labeled with your name, so he know where it's coming from.
Example: Dear Captain,
I liek mudkipz. BUT I HATE YOU
Nassanei
I WILL EDIT THE LIST AS WE GO! (since I'm oh so active.)
IT'S GOTTA MAKE SENSE THOUGH!
YOU CAN EDIT YOUR LETTER IF YOU WANT TOO, JUST QUOTE WHAT YOU SAID BEFORE AND THEN ADD TO IT!
WHEN IT REACHES A CERTAIN LENGTH I WILL STOP THE GAME FOR A SEC, And guess what's gonna be posted on lolBasil? Our letter! Our revolution! Our THREAT! Sure I'll get banned but meh, idc.
Let us begin;
Nassanei:
Dear Captain,
MMOTales.com is my 3rd home, I used to log on for hours on end, sharing my day with my peers. It used to make me feel wanted in a community for the first time ever. We were all brothers and sisters there, even though we came form different countries, were different races, we all had one thing in common. MMOTales was one of the most important things ever, because of MMOTales I learned how to write a proper fanfic, and how to speak English better. I mean, who would've known French is my maiden tongue?
So you see Captain, you got rid of those experiences we had, some of us aren't on our temporary home, we lost them. And possibly will never find them again. Imagine losing someone in you family, they're not dead, but lost. You have no idea on where they are. You would do anything in your power to find them right? That's what you made us do.
Souseiki:
Dear Captain,
Captain, seriously, you're stupid. you could've given somebody else to handle the money and stuff, but nooooo. You HAD to be a idiot and close down a great site that had great stories and stuff. You're probably laughed at us struggling to get our precious materials back that were only saved in mmo. You DID NOT have a right to close down the site that mattered to so many people. Well, of course it was your site, and you could if you wanted to, but the difference is that you didn't warn us, didn't save our stuff, and made us re-group in a stupid site that, i have to admit, is nothing compared to even the worst site that you can find on the internet. You stupid son of a b****, i hope you rot in hell.
FireLeo86:
Dear Captain,
OK so MMOTales.com wasn't the best site out there with the least amount of traffic but can't you look past that and let it back up?
P.S. I like turtles.
FunnyFroggy:
Dear Captain,
I hate you. I wonder if you were drunk that day you shut down MMOTales. You must've been. Because that was a retarded decision. That decision destroyed a great community. That community was the only thing special to some people. And now that you've destroyed it, those people have nothing.
You have angered thousands of people. Okay, maybe not thousands. But a couple dozen is still a lot. Sure you didn't get a lot of traffic, and you just might've been losing some money. But the fact that MMOTales gave happiness and formed a tightly-knit community should have been enough. Besides, BasilMarket should give you plenty of traffic.
Captain, it's time you've learned to be selfless. It's times like these that you need to show your appreciation for others. The world doesn't revolve around you. Seeing others (well you can't exactly see us, but you should know what I mean) happy, should make you feel happy. Unless you're a Scrooge. But the Scrooge became selfless soon after, and you should too.
Basilers, how would you feel if he shut down BasilMarket suddenly for now reason before posting an "explanation" several days later? You guys probably wouldn't understand the tight-knit community we had in MMOTales as everyone knew each other there, but what would you do if BasilMarket was gone? Sure it's not the end of the world. But then you'd never be able to partake in auctions for your valuable items. You'd never be able to chat with each other (Basilers). You'd never be able to laugh at people's comics and praise them for their hardwork. You'd never be able to meet the same group of people who have the same interests as you. Sure, there are other places. But you should know, it's not the same.
Captain, if you still have a tiny bit of care for the group of people you left stranded when you shut down MMOTales, you should understand what you need to do. Choose the right choice. Open MMOTales again. (Or give us the code and let us frolic in peeeeace. )
Sincerely, (Note I am being sincere lolololol)
Froggy
P.S. - Banning Mip for disclosing your real name on a public site was uncalled for. She got it from a public site that, oh I don't know, YOU, put on. And the fact that your own home website has your full name in it.
P.P.S. - I hate the music you make. I doubt anyone likes it too.
Salon:
Dear Captain,
Obviously the people of MMOTales are extremely pissed at you, I suggest, for your sake, that you return the site as quickly as possible.
Spade:
Dear captain,
f**k you for banning me off of MMOT for no reason, and f**k you for closing it down without even a warning.
You pedophile looking homo.
MasterCheeze:
Dear Captain,
Why did you say MMOTales closed due to a lack of traffic and taking too much effort when you could have fixed those problems so easily?
You had advertisements for MMOT posted on Basil Market before, but you took them down. We were lucky to get one new member a week, and that person would only be there because of OUR efforts.
All the troublemakers that started coming around near MMOT's closing could have been handled if you would have appointed another mod, and, I dunno, maybe given he or she the authority to PERMANENTLY BAN ACCOUNTS?! You even said in a PM that you would make me a mod, but you left me hanging for a month, assuring me you would get to it… Then look what you did.
If the site was too much to handle financially, couldn't you have arranged a deal for the people that actually cherished the site to take control of it? Couldn't you have at least given us a warning before you destroyed more than two years worth of memories? Couldn't you have at least given us a second chance instead of try to cover us up with a miserable Facebook wannabe?
MMOTales was more than a blogging site for some of us; it was an escape for reality; a reason to anticipate the end of a school day; an excuse to stay up a few extra minutes past bed time, spamming F5; a haven for our most beloved works of literature and pixelated comics; it was a comedy club, a drama club, a writing guild, an insane asylum, a debate hall, a theater, a cafeteria, and most importantly a home away from home— complete with every member of the family… the most close-knit community that probably ever existed on the Internet. Just because you isolated yourself from your most perfectly created web site, didn't mean you had to go and throw everything away for the rest of us.
Now here I am a sixteen-year-old boy stuck waiting for another chance at what you destroyed. I f**king cry every time I take a look at MMOTales' archives, trying to log in and post comments on everyone's blogs like I used to. I can't write anything, I can't make comics, I can't make anyone laugh, I can't make anyone cry; the only good thing I've done in life was spend so much time on MMOTales. I have a pathetic social life, and the only good place I could escape to was MMOTales because I was actually liked there. What now?
Gujju:
Dear Captain,
You Piggly son of a b****. I don't know what possessed you to shut down MMOTales. I bet you didn't count on the community remaining together like this. Dear Captain,
Your motives on shutting down MMOTales was unjust, to the eyes of many. IF you had given us prior warning (that thing that you call Profil3 is NOT sufficient warning; many of us just thought that it was another of your sites, many that you had), IF you had explained things to us, we could've helped you with it. But instead, our pleas fell upon deaf ears, as, faster than a lightning strike, our site had been closed down.
We loved that site; it was a place to be free, a civil society in a condensed, pixelated area, where friendships were easily made, and we defended it with pride. Sure, we bickered occasionally there, but it wasn't random mish-mosh like a good lot of the threads on your beloved basilmarket, and virtually none of our threads, blogs, and screenshots were responded to with a sarcastic, joking, and often insulting (in the non-constructive criticism way, I must add) reply that much of your precious basilmarket seem to be overfilled with.
That site was a place, a place where we, who could type in a civilized manner, to converse over a plastic/metal box we call a computer. Many a fanfic that was made was not pulverized with esteem-draining insults, rather, we complimented on what was accomplished, and provided insight on what was lacking. Your screenshot area in basilmarket, however, is often filled with as much criticizers as there are worshippers.
In MMOTales, the citizens there formed a great bond between one another, as if we were friends, not over the internet, but rather as if we were there together. When you closed down the site, you had, in a split second, shredded the bond with a simple push of a button. You destroyed many a friendships, rivalries, and annihilated any grain of hope of our trust in you. You had wrongfully banned Mipscari, failed to put in any efforts of reviving the site in the end, and did what? Cover over the bombshell you had tossed with Profil3, which, I must add, isolated me from that community because you had to FORCE people to join groups, clubs, communities, and so forth. I prefer not to stand on a bias as much as I can, and that was what MMOTales had given me: a front page that let me choose where to go and how to do it. Oh, and for some reason your search function there doesn't work that well neither. Which is extremely laughable because that error has been there since forever. Maybe that site will slip under the sands as well... we'll see...
In all, you crushed an iconic place, where people (and mainly maplers, I might add) could escape the chaos of the Maple world, free from beggars, spammers, hackers, and all, to express their troubles without being trampled upon, to be confident that whatever one may post on that site, that it was fair, it was right, and it was okay. Please, Captain, bring back the site. Why should one destroy friendship over financial issues? To do that is like a sin, crude in that manner it is, that I'd rather risk life and limb simply to put food on the table, to keep a balance, one that you've removed, like removing a fulcrum.

Pirkid:Dear Cap't,
Take a step back, and f**k yourself. And then do it again.
I don't believe you understand the pain and shock that I went through when I opening my homepage and was told by my Firefox that it had been shut down. You don't understand the agony as I constantly refreshed, and Googled, looking for an error in these heinous words.
Alas, they were true.
I don' think you care that you ruining something that was like an arm to dozens of people. A place to share feelings and commitment, and place to anticipate or to stay awake for, a website to cherish and hodl high like a prized trophy. You don't understand the sorrows and joy that happened on that site, You don't believe that you destroyed my mental home, the one place I could go to where people cared and bickered, fought and laughed, grew and loved.
You don't, because you are a complete waste of life that should never have touching our holy ground. You almost had no right.
MMOTales, simple stating those words brings a flood of memories and tears, laughs and smiles. MMOT wasn't just a website, it was a living thing, growing, experiencing good and bad, living through us, those who cared for it. Those who could come down for anything, and leave with a sense of constant glee.
No matter what things we had gone though, the things you have told me, Cap't, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you effectively ruined one of the best things in my life and placed a curse of epic proportions on the rest of your weak, unfulfillable, pathetic life. What you did to Mip, Aaru, what you brought upon us, you will never be forgiven.
Simply forgive me if I attempt to enter your home and chop your balls off. If I can find them.
Business and money are all well and good, but look at the crime you have committed. The lives you tore apart, the very essence of the home that you siphoned away into your own mindless, unhumble soul. No one should ever have the will to rip apart something so acient and special, that is, friendship, and get away with it.
May you live long with your tail between your legs and your p*nis stuck in your arse.

AZK:
Dear captain,
What you have done is a crime. As people have said, you took away the one place that was important to them. There are many people that may not have liked the site, although I doubt it, it was a special place to many of us. You would rather listen to those ass kissing pigs that you call 'friends'. Even you may have found some friends on the site if you had stayed longer than you did.
Some of us didn't believe it to be true when people first told them. Alas, they went to the site and saw the words 'We hope you might find a new community of friends at Profil3.' Sure profil3 was not a bad site but many of us believe that MMOTales is the best site there is. So MMOTales was getting more popularity than profil3, you didn't have to shut the site down. That's like killing your best friend because he/she was more popular than you. Think how it would be to lose one special thing that you deemed precious in your life. Whether it be your family, your wife(not likely, you don't even give a f*ck about the hundreds of people on your website, some of whom you thought were friends), your work, even your first toy. Imagine it gets taken away from you and you had to choose the order in which they'd go and you were powerless to stop it.
MMOTales was probably just a 'simple failure of a website' to you, but to us it was much more. It's a parallel realm in which people knew each other. They had laughs, they had tears, they had stories that were absolutely amazing. Sure we may have bickered from time to time and we might have gotten a bit carried away sometimes but still we got along. We had no need for you, we only needed one mod and that was enough. You couldn't have left the site well alone and had to shut it down. So you think you have a lack of traffic but profil3 had thousands of basilers of flowing in, as well as users joining Basilmarket.
You are a complete waste of life and air. You think that you have complete power in everything we do. We release a public website, ban. We post a bad picture, ban. We even do nothing, BAN. What if you were on the other end of the screen, where YOU were the one getting banned for retarded reasons. Wouldn't you be crying like the little girl you are? You make sites to have the feeling of power over others. You are weak in real life but on the internet, you could be an emperor but only on your sites. I might reconsider these feelings if you put the site back up but I believe that seems unlikely, seeing how selfless you are. May you go to hell and rot forever, unable to leave or move only watching as demons shred your lifeless soul to bits over and over again, feeling the pain each time.

Sure profil3 was not a bad site but many of us believe that MMOTales is the best site there is.
