Well before you fight, you'll need the following things.
-HP 30/50 Potions of any quantity.
-MP 30/50 Potions of any quantity.
-Stamina 30/50 Potions of any quantity.
-Smash (useful for first strikes and crushing defense)
-Defense (useful for blocking attacks. Kite Shield recommended.)
-Counter Attack (need I explain?)
-Windmill (with a blunt weapon or bare fist you break dance!)
-Icebolt or Lightning Bolt (makes the enemy flinch.)
-Firebolt (knocks back the enemy.)
-Ranged Attack (arrows. Duh.)
-Magnum Shot (think of smash but ranged and not able to break defense if the enemy doesn't have a shield.)
-Support Shot (like Ranged Attack but weaker.)
-Healing (heal!)
The following skills are great but are very hard to obtain.
-Arrow Revolver (loads 5 arrows. Awesome skill.)
-Fireball (think of firebolt but as a flaming ball of death falling from the sky.)
-Thunder (like Lightningbolt and follows up with thunder falling from the sky.)
Now here are some basic enemies to deal with.
All Foxes- Just hit it with any offense skill.
White Spider(ling)- Just hit it.
Red Spider(ling)- If you're new, you can take alot of damage from Red Spiders. Just attack it with smash, if it doesn't die follow up with defense or counter attack. If you use defense you can get a couple of hits on the enemy. Counterattack you will push the enemy away from you with some of it's attack power mixed with yours. Repeat with the other skill you haven't used. If it uses a skill, just go and smash it.
Black Spider- Use the red spider strategy.
Gray/Black/White Wolf- Time for things to get a little tricky. Wolves have Smash, Defense, and Counter. First of all, if you are undetected, use Smash or Normal Attacks. Follow up with defense or counter.
If you use Defense, be careful. The Wolf can end up using Smash. How would you know if it uses smash? It will run up to you with a skill loaded. Immdiatly cancel defense and attack the wolf with Normal Attack.
If you use counter attack follow up with defense.
If the wolf hits you while you're in defense, use normal attack.
If you want, you can also use windmill. Beware, you can't follow Windmill up with Counter.
Brown Dire Wolf (Cub)- They're stronger than normal wolves but not impossible to kill. Beware, you can get aggroed by a Brown Dire Wolf Cub if you're fighting a Brown Dire Wolf and the other way around.
-Alby/Ciar Dungeon Creatures-
-Alby Beginner/Normal/Malcom's Pass-
White Spiders and Old Mimics inhabit here. The boss room has 8 Red Spider(ling) and a new monster.
Giant Spider(ling)- Simple and easy. Smash->Defend/Counter->Normal attack if Defense is used->Repeat at Step 2.
If it walks with a skill, use Smash.
Giant Gold Spiderling- Counter will reduce these things base Defense quickly. Just use Defense, Hit, and Counter.
-Ciar Beginner/Normal-
(Young) [Poison] Goblin (Archer)- Goblins have Smash, Defense, and Counter Attack. Goblin Archers will have Ranged Attack and Magnum Shot in their arsenal.
If you are new, Young Goblins will take only a few hits before death. Normal Goblins will take more hits and give even more damage. Goblins can trick you. If it uses Smash, it'll run while the skill loads and then start walking around as if it's in Defense. If it uses Defense it'll walk while the skill loads and still walk after it's loaded. Counter attack, they'll stand in place. Poison Goblins are slightly stronger than the normal Goblins.
Goblin Archers will shoot arrows. If you reset it's aggro, the Archer will run at you with fists up or stand still with fists up.
Brown/Gray Town Rat- Totally easy. Just hit it once or twice. It has Defense and low health.
Mimic- They will be normal treasure chests. They usually live with 2 other Mimics with monsters guarding them. There is a real chest living with the 3 Mimics.
Metal Skeletons- These will oppose a challenge. If you're not careful, they will kill you. They have alot of HP and are both Warriors and Archers. They know Smash, Defense, Counter, Windmill, and Ranged Attack. It will take a few seconds for them to aggro. I warn you, don't use Defense unless they take out their bows. They will give alot of damage if you are shieldless. With a Kite Shield, you can risk it. They will run around and sometimes they use Defense, Smash, or Counter.
(Small) Golem- These are dangerous to newbies. They are strong and Defense is definatly a bad idea to use on these. Smash it and then activate Counter. It will either attack you and you'll counter or get close and activate a skill. Please, deactivate Counter ASAP and normal attack it. Then use counter.
If it attacks you while you're in counter, you'll knock it back. If you have Firebolt, use it. It has a Passive Defense skill called Mana Refractor at level 2, so Lightning Bolt or Ice Bolt will be useless. Repeat Countering and Firebolting until dead.
