Since it's not MMO-only anymore, does it make sense that we keep the chars in the MMOid? (which should have another name, i know)

It does, since some people will still be playing MMOs. But it should also be more customizable than before - have the user type in the game/level/etc instead of selecting from a menu. And perhaps have a Description part as well.

Perhaps you could have tabs containing up to three games where you list Currently Playing: ... And depending on the game type (console, MMO, etc.) there would be appropriate input fields to list your info. (Such as IGN, Console, etc.)

Have to agree with nass here, ppl will be lazy.

Still, it would be easier than constantly having to change the code to add more games to the menu whenever they come out or whenever someone asks for it. And I doubt more than a handful of people would be too lazy to type out a simple name and number.

We'll have to add new games anyway because you have to choose one when posting a blog, but there's no need to change the code.

Or maybe... have a drop down menu, with an "Other" option, which, if selected, allows the user to type the game that character is from?
