If you had read about my NYC Nintendo World event thing that took place on September 13, 2008, you must've known that I was extremely excited. To those who don't know, lemme give you a quick overview.
Nintendo, (my favorite gaming company,) stated that they were going to hold a big celebration in Nintendo World in New York City to commemorate their 20th year of being alive and well running. They said they were going to hold a party, and the first 400 people to get into the front doors with an issue of Nintendo Power would get into the event.
Now here's where it gets juicy.
I told my friends about it, and we got all excited. I woke up at 4:00 in the morning to get to the place early, (the event started at 8:30,) and my friends and I left around 4:30ish.
We get to the place, but it turns out that my father dropped us into the wrong line. He dropped us off onto the Saturday Night Live waiting line. -_- So, about 20 minutes later, I get suspicious, and poke my way around the corners of the street, to find the ACTUAL Nintendo World line.
We run towards the line, and we wait patiently for another 3 hours.
Soon we see staff members of the Nintendo World hand out admittance bracelets, and the staff continuously make their way down the line, up to people in front of us.
They give the bracelets to people in front of us, and they look at us, and people standing next to us. Next to us. The people standing next to us were originally behind us, but they somehow mesmerized themselves into a position where it looked like THEY were in FRONT of us.
We had a big fight (remember the bolded word!) and we all started to get into an argument. We stated we were first, but the staff didn't know who to believe, so they gave the bracelets to the ugly ones.
There were 2 bracelets left. Four of us were left.
I was offered the bracelet, and another one of my friends.
There were four of us. We turned it down, and went home.
Ironically, we played Brawl afterwards.
