Yea, not parents, LOLrents.
I've always wanted to generalize my parents, so here it goes:
My dad: ex-military white-supremacist homophobe. Always assumes the very worst of every possible situation. Hates children. However these traits are not so much of an annoyance as they are entertaining, so I can't complain.
My mom: typical woman in her 40's going through an EXTREMELY long mid-life crisis, she is always going out "partying" and "drinking" with her friends. Bubbly and energetic. Loves children. Hates war only because it "kills off all of the cute, young men!"...very entertaining.
Explains why I'm so wierd? Likely.
Your turn D:<

Dad: A know-it-all scientist, who believes that he can provide everything for us. Tries to make jokes about how he'll eat my fish and gerbil. Anything below a 93 as a grade returns as a long lecture. Very racist against all non-asian people. Very easily angered, and easily scares little children. Hear a baby crying? Guess who's holding them? ;_; Mom: Laughs at the most stupidest things. Believes she needs to keep talking over and over to get us to understand that we have a dinner party to go to. When talking in english to an American person, she seems to have a very fake laugh and voice. Hates my gerbil. Sucks at making jokes. Seems to be THE most stupidest, and slowest person on earth, but after looking at her college history, is apparently the top of her classes

Dad: Stereotypical redneck (minus racism). Loves cars and making stupid jokes. People from outside the south can't understand him. Doesn't care much about his children's schooling. Computer illiterate. Cares a lot about his kids despite his seemingly illogical way of showing it.
Mom: Teacher who is super obsessed with education. She is the stereotypical overprotective mom who refuses to accept that her children are growing up and becoming more and more independent. Also going through that super-long midlife crisis of going out with friends and such, trying to relive her 20's.

Dad - A party dude for someone at his age. Is addicted to online poker, and types with his middle finger. He is an angry guy, and things like water leaking from the tap can set him on fire. He is your typical Indian parent in the sense that he is super cheap, plays cricket, and hates boys who talks to me, going as far as saying as he will marry me to some computer engineer back home in exchange for a cow.
Mom - despite being in this country for a good 20 years, she still is horrible with English language. She is a constant nag, and if one doesn't respond to her in 5 seconds, she assumes you are ignoring her and beings the screaming. A total neat freak, and is always throwing away things she thinks are unimportant, when in reality, they are not. She cant work a computer to save her life, but makes good food, so it evens out.

Dad: Always out with friends, and a bit red-neckish. Seems to enjoy dragging us out on camping trips. Not the ones in a cabin, but a tent! Pretty athletic too, and is a total music jockey. He doesn't play any instrument (unless you count Guitar Hero as one), but he knows pretty much every song in existence, including everyone involved with that particular song.
Mom: Totally awesome. Compassionate, and not old enough to be having a mid-life crisis. Kinda makes corny jokes, but meh, I can still fell comfortable around her. Not so much as my dad. The connection between my mom and me is the tight one.

Dad: Too smart for me, engineer, thinks I'm a failure compared to him because I'm not as smart as he is. Academics is the only thing in his mind. My music career can go blow a duck for all he cares. Typical hardcore asian dad. I'm scared of him.
Mom: Engineer, slightly more tolerant than my dad. Likes music, but is hypocritical about it. Says I should pursue whatever I feel I need to, but always pushes me to study more even though it's summer. I swear she has some kind of disorder that makes her go insane if there's a speck of dirt anywhere in the house. She just blows up at messiness, and living in a house dominated by males doesn't really help.
I don't really talk to neither of them.
Oh yea, they fight a lot.

Ugh. Your mom would kill me if she saw my room. I knew I had a floor once, it just...disappeared.

Dad - Taxi-driver, always out working (or not), barely see him around, but useful as the occasional chauffeur and always buys food for us. :3 Slow to get angry at us kids, but once I did make him angry enough to hit me, and damn that hurt. :/
Mum - Will yell at above for laying a finger on any of us kids, but doesn't spare the rod herself. Logic: I gave birth to them, I'll hit them. On some kind of long-term PMS, I'm always arguing with her and she's always yelling at us. Fortunately, we've developed a sort of selective hearing in her case. Typical Chinese mother, I suppose: irritatingly superstitious sometimes, protective, naggy, nit-picking, 'I am the final authority', but surprisingly liberal other times. But she's the 'rent that we'll turn to most of the time.

Same same, Silver xD...I've only made my dad THAT angry once, and I'll never do it again. I was like, 14...never seen ANYONE get out of a chair that fast before...and he threw me literally ten feet across the room, I was scared s***less. And then a few seconds later he's like, "LOL guess I lost my temper, I'mma go get some potato chips BRB." I've never had the guts to back-talk him since ;

And I remember the huge red handprint that stayed there for like, a day after that particular incident, lol. Ugh. Your mom would kill me if she saw my room. I knew I had a floor once, it just...disappeared. Reckon the same happened to my dining table, my computer table and ... just about every clear space you cannot find. XD

I got whipped so much as a little kid.

I guess.
My parents... you can't really describe them with words, except that they contradict themselves a lot, and - not really argue with each other, but complain to us (the kids) whenever the other parent isn't around. They drive me nuts, and try to push me to overachieve. Also rather a bit embarrassing esp. when talking (read: COMPARING US) to other Asian friends' kids. ><;
